Classic Firearms M1895 Nagant...

Post by rayjd2 »

They're selling them for $99.99 with cleaning rod and holster. I can currently swing that, but wanted more opinions. Any experience buying these from classic?
I eagerly await the opining of many people.

Are you sure they were listed as in stock? If this is what you were talking about they're out of stock. http://www.classicfirearms.com/nagant-m1895-revolver If they were in stock at $99 as they have on the site that's the cheapest they've been for more than a year. I'm not sure what you expect from one of these or if you're very familiar with them but if they get more at $99 I'd get one. Nice collector piece but a rough piece to shoot. Some say the trigger is one of the hardest to pull of anything they've ever shot.

I just checked as well and they are listed as out of stock (along with most of their C&R Stuff) Classic may be cheaper than some other dealers but some guys who have been collecting longer than I have been have expressed their displeasure with them. Seems they liked to 'nickel plate' (chrome) stuff that was never meant to have that finish.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Chroming Mosins and various other milsurps, plus they screwed the pooch on a shipping issue to me many years back that I haven't forgot.

They have a war on over there, probably cancelled shipment.

True enough.
Cabelas still has them for $150, unless they're out of stock now too. I'm on my phone and it doesn't say they're out...
