Got my first M44. SOG had Lammy M44s for $299.99 for a long time. I kept looking around and wouldn't buy this one or that one because it was a Molot. Well, Lammy M44s for $229.99 was to good to pass up for me. So here she is in all her glory! I went with the hand pick for another $10. Told them I preferred Tula but they must have been out of them! Near as I could see, it is all Izhevsk except I found a NEW inspection stamp on the bolt's guide bar.

Sorry the inspection stamp is blurry but still distinguishable I hope.

Sorry I didn't get a photo of the stamps under the hand guard. They were smaller than the Molots I have purchased before. Nothing on the top side of the tang. Small RNC on the bolt.

I note that there is no pitting in the bore. It is not counter bored. Rifling is good, not excellent but good. Overall I am very pleased with this 1944 Izhevsk M44 in Laminate stock!

Thanks guys. I have been thinking hard on the laminate stock 91/30 too. Just haven't nailed it yet. Been looking at the ones that buds has but someone said they do not send to C&R FFLs. Is that correct?

Lammies are so nice in the M-44. Very nice rifle.  I really like the s/n on the cocking piece. I have not seen that on non-Molot rifles before. Very cool.

Buds will send to a C&R,or they use to,i think i had to email them,or call them, then send them my info, the rifle would have to be signed for on receipt.

Very sharp rifle with that laminated stock. A friend sold me one just like it but is still looking for the bayonet and I won't shoot it until it's mounted on the rifle.
Some kind of rule at his range that there's no bayonets allowed, he took it off and lost it in the mix of things.
Be sure to shoot it as dusk, WOW :big shock: What a fire ball they make.

 Yeah, I'm eager to try that out. I see other people say its more loud than the 91/30 too. :D
