FINALLY A RANGE DAY

Post by Steve The Pirate »

I finally had time for a trip to the range. I reloaded 10 rounds of IMR4064 37.6 GRS. with a Hornady FMJBT 174 gr and 10 rounds of IMR4895 38.5 gr with the same bullet, for my M39. I also took my Hungarian M44 out as well . The range is no frills (pick nick tables for benches), but you can shoot standing, prone
and sitting on the ground. The reload groupings were ok(first reloads-. both powders at the low end) . Could not get situated with my rest. I was real pleased
with the m44. First time I shot this. 20 rounds @ 50yds. with Russian light ball . There were some comments after each blast  . But any day at the range is fantastic. Some Pics.

Weather wise, it was a perfect weekend to hit the range.

Nice shooting!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Nice shooting! Low 60's and slight breeze = perfect shooting day for me.
