American M24s being surplused!

Post by blackwolf97 »

Yall gotta read this! Ok, ok, so the M24 isn't 100+ years old, but this certainly belongs in that list of legendary weapons I had built!

Those who can out-right buy one are as follows: military snipers, active duty, reserves, retired military, LEOs. All others, I'm assuming, have to go through the lottery they're going to set up. AND at least SOME of the proceeds will go to the Fisher House! How much more awesome-r can it get?!?!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I wonder if LEO sales will be restricted to departments or will individual sales be allowed? :vconfused: Let's hope the latter is the case!
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Noob question, but if they are rebarrelling and replacing the receiver, what is really left to make the gun sniper quality?

All that experience soaked into the stock? No idea, sounds like a load of bullshit to me, who replaces a bolt gun receiver before surplussing it, that is only done with full auto weapons and then they chop it with a torch.
