Brothers New 91/30

Post by Stesco »

My brother picked this up yesterday. It is his first. I am also new to Nagants and already have the disease and picked up a couple. This looks like a 1927 Tula Hex. Anything else stand out about this gun?

Looks like you have a nice 1927 Tula ex dragoon M91/30 rifle. :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

And a 1925 Tula Receiver. Looks nice from what I can see on these initial photos.

It looks great. By the way all 1927 Tula rifles are hex receivers. You got a good one.

Well.....................in that it has a two year variation in the barrel date and the tang date and has a re-furb square stamp on the armory/USSR insignia it is a useless rifle. I think you should ship it to one of us for disposal. I think this one goes to Rongoman. PM him and get his address and ship it with a few extra bucks and he'll take care of it for you. :chuckles: :chuckles:

If you believe that one do you think Chris Christie did not know what was going on with the GW bridge? :big shock:
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

If I understand my wife's translation that writing says:

Tula

NICE!!

Very nice

I have a weakness for the Tula 5-line stampings. Disregard what others have said. I think you should send it to ME for further inspection. :D :D :D
