1933 Finnish Tikka M27

Post by VKT1941 »

I picked this up at a recent gun show finally got around to posting it on here. It's a non-matching rifle because the magazine floor plate the butt plate is un numbered. The bolt is made up of NEW, Sestroretsk and Iveshek. It's replaced my VKT as my new favorite rifle. :D

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Very nice! Congrats! Oh and if the bolt and receiver match it is considered Finn matched which is what I believe you have there. Numbers are not something the Finns looked after closely so even if they were unmatched in my eyes it would still have the same value to me. If they are unmatched I look closely at the head space, firing pin protrusion, and lock-up of the bolt but then I do that with all rifles I get anyway. Again Congrats! And Oh by the way the only 1933 dated M27 I have is my RV27 and it is a tikka also! Bill :D

I shot it and it shoots very we'll groups were very tight at 50 yards. It's really surprise what these rifles can still do after all these years.

50 yards is almost "contact" distance :chuckles: for your rifle, off the bench a good M28/30 or a M39 can and will print 1 MOA @ 100 and will easily do 2 1/2 MOA at 200. All with MilSup ammo   . If you like the M27 (and whats not to like to there? ) I urge you to get a solid Finnish M91. THAT rifle is a tack driver if its in really good condition and most are. As usual my :2cents:

My first Finn rifle was a VKT M91 it's a a tack driver too. It just doesn't have the two stage trigger like my m27.
