My "new" $150 M44

Post by wolfstein »

My daughter was buying an M44 for her husband for Christmas. She had just bought it when a policeman in a nearby town had taken in an M44 in a trade deal. Since she had just bought her husbands gun she told me about this one. He determined it was worth about $150 and that is what he was asking. Met him at a halfway point and picked up the gun yesterday. I had just bought a Tula 91/30, but just couldn't turn this down. It is dated 1945 and included the sling, ammo pouch and 44 rounds of ammo. I hope I did ok. (not a Molot)

Indeed, a good deal for a good looking M44 with the goodies.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

You did very OK, a good hundred dollars off the current going rate for one in this condition.

Good looking carbine, I gave $235 OTD for what looks like a unissued 1948
a few weeks ago. It had no accessories and a reproduction sling on it. The
metal looks new but the stock has a repair on the toe splice. I thought I
did ok on it, you got a bargain.
