Need some help Identifing what I have

Need some help Identifing what I have

It is a 1930 Hex 91/30. I would like to know what Arsenal this came out of, I Hahe 9 Mosin's and am finally getting around to cataloging them.

Picture is the best I can do with what camera I have.

Yes... That stock looks very wide to me. 1930? Wonder if it is an ex Dragoon? Yes, need more pictures of this rifle.

On a side note, you need to go over to Amazon and pick up "The Mosin-Nagant Rifle" by Terence W. Lapin, 6th edition (the yellow book). This will give you a lot of information on the Mosin 3-line rifle, it's origins, it's use and manufacture in other countries and all of it's markings. Under $20.

Probably is an ex dragoon, I know both of my 1930 Tula's are. Nice rifle.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I have a Hex 1928 Izhevsk that is the equal to the Tula in condition fit and finish

there are several threads talking about refinished stocks, notice the escutcheons on the above picture are shellacked, which to me say arsenal refurb.Plus nice arsenal repair.

Nice '30 Tula! Mine was not an ex-dragoon, the reciever was made in '30 also.
