Yardsale Luger. Really!

Sometimes it amazes me what can be found on the tables at a yard sale. Luckily for me, the owner, a son of a WWI Veteran, had refused an earlier offer of $300. So, when I put $400 on the table, I walked away with this P08 Erfurt Luger, dated 1918.

Not completely matching, as the mag has a different number. But otherwise all original. Well worn grips, no import or refurb marks, 85% finish with minor pitting, and excellent patina - just the way I like 'em!

Pics, and enjoy.

OK, I know I told you I was ticked off with you over those Arisakas. This is like rubbing salt in the wound for me.

Well, better you then some one else...I guess! :bwink:

Oh, very nice luger. I paid more than that for mine and it is not "all matching". Great deal!

Dolk expresses some of what I'm feeling here, I'll say it again, BEST YARD SALE FIND EVER, :Drool1: one of my dream guns and you run across one at a yard sale :big shock: I should not complain, I have done okay lately on a few like the Lithgow and the $300.00 dollar Type 38 Arisaka that turned out to be a matching Type 38 Carbine. Best I have done at a yard sale was the old guy in Prescott that sold me the handful of M100's for $2 bucks :ani-pop:

And the rest of the yard sale spoils, this weekend....

1. Model 1903 training rifle, stamped P.H.S.C. 367
2. Ammo crate for the M67 Recoilless Rifle (RPG launcher, Vietnam era). The writing is difficult to see, but it held the 90mm M371/A1 HEAT (anti-tank) ordnance.
3. WWI mess kit.

Approx $40 for all.

A $400 Luger, are you kidding me. I've found a few decent deals but Martin finds almost all of them. :Drool1: :Drool1:

You're not holding your mouth right. :? There's a certain way you have to squint your eyes too. I haven't figured either out yet.

As usual, you did really good on that one. I need to go to a better class of yardsale. All I can find around here is baby clothes. I always leave a curse n the sellers that as soon as they sell all these clothes they will be pregnant again.

The shit I have hauled home from yardsales would fill a shipping container to the roof......in fact it does :) Guns too, but not of late, my first Milsurp was a yardsale find.
