Self defense bullets

What do you prefer for self defense, FMJ for penetration, or hollow point for expansion?

Hollow points. You don't want over penetration.

The only FMJ I used in a carry pistol were .380 in my Keltec p3at. It fed them better but then I tried Hornady Critical Defense and found they were just as reliable and the reviews were favorable. I would never carry reloads in a self defense pistol.
