Did it again....darn it!

Post by Celt »

So....my first taurus pistol was an outdated pt908. Loved it. Function was flawless. I even got blocked from a certain forum for defending the pistols reputation. I seem to always pick pistols that are out of date and or obsolete. Looks like I've done it again. I saw these go around last year and wanted one badly but didn't have the money. I was cruising Gun Broker today and found another taurus I couldn't live with out. I really did not mean to hit the bid button....it just happened. Then I waited eight hours for someone to out bid me. I could have gone five dollars more but that won't win a biding war. Thanks to anyone who has bad mouthed taurus...that is keeping the mar

Should get it end of the week, next week.
More pictures when I get it.

I have a Taurus revolver that has treated me well.

Nothing wrong with a Taurus. They had a quality control problem about 2 years ago but they have a lifetime warranty and lived up to it. Still do.

Taurus seems to get a bad rap. Tons of crappy reviews but I've owned three I think. The TCP I had got bad reviews. Shot everything I had through it. I had a M9 clone in .40 I bought for $300 new. No problems shooting, but not the best trigger. I sold both for something else but I still have the Judge. I'm sure there are guns that have problems, kind of like buying anything. I bought a Vizio TV once, it worked for an hour and stopped. Took it back for the same one and no problems.

Yep, I honestly never understood the hate for Taurus, I have a PT1911, have put 150 rounds through it so far, never even so much as HICCUPED, and half that was HP ammo...

I have gotten MORE than my monies worth out of it.

So whenever someone bad talks Taurus, I just look over at my PT1911 and laugh at them.

Too many people think if its not a Glock or Colt it's crap.. Most have never even picked up a Taurus, they "read" it online that they have issues and it must be true.. High points are the same way, while they are heavy and clunky, and not sexy at all.. Everyone I know who has one says they shoot straight and reliably.. It's probably not a carry gun due to weight, but as a nightstand gun or a pinker. They get the job done.

I think you did fine, best of luck with it !!

This will be my third Taurus. No problems with the others so I'm not worried. This is however my first 40 s&w. They say its a bit snappy.

If you need 40S&W brass let me know and I can put you on the list for the next lot from the sheriffs range.

I chose this over the other three I was looking at because its small enough for cc but big enough to hold onto. And it's a can of whoop ass!

I was going to order a php mv9 from SOG. They want 215 and it's a cool looking croatian 9mm, but to big and heavy for carry. The lgs here thats always a bit high with their prices has a pt 145(45acp) in the black, one mag, and no key and they won't budge off of 350.
