Cool, when you see something like this it's not the rifle I wonder about, we know what it is, who made it and why. What I wonder about is who bought it, and stored it away for the 90 years in such a way that it did not rust. Why they did it, and how.

Wow. Awesome. This should be one of the holy grail's for us American collectors, or really, any Mosin collector. This definitely needs to be in the showcase! Maybe a few more sharper focused pictures, especially the stampings. Would be cool to see shots of the receiver top tang where they normally mark them, etc. so we can have good clear shots to compare our worn, refurbed, or otherwise "parts" rifles to this original!

I wouldn't even take it apart. Especially with anything less than perfect fitting hollow ground screwdrivers.

The rifle itself is not rare, it's one of hundreds of thousands, what makes it rare is the like new condition. Very few were preserved this way, and all by chance more than design. Most of these rifles went on to a lifetime of hard service in many countries .

Stunning condition and beautiful rifle!

It seems that these have been coming out quite a bit lately in nearly this condition and with un-numbered parts.

Who knows the real story on that? I believe that I read that these were rifles that were rejected by inpectors for whatever reason and somehow became property of the employees and were never serialed to match.

Help me out if I'm wrong guy's.

BTW $1000 dollars is easily gone that rifle can last a lifetime and then some!

Awesome piece! Congrats!
