Death of a PKM

Did anyone watch the mutilation of the PKM on Sons of Guns tonight? They took a sweet PKM, chopped the barrel to nothing, added a folding stock and a chute style, backpack caried, belt feed 500 rounds of 7,62x54r. It was a 1 man walking death machine to be sure, but to see a perfectlygood PKM go down like that mae me tear up just a bit. The client wanted something he could try to sell to the military. Yeah right, bub, that'll happen.

I did not watch that show, simply because things like that happen.

No, was it a milsurp? If it was a commercial built rifle then fine, milsurp would be bad.

I also will not watch those shows. The stupid things they do just feeds the anti-gun groups, makes all gun owners look like crazy violent butchers.
They scare the hell out of people, and we feel the backlash. Just my opinion.

I have no time to watch these shows, I can't snippets of this and that as I walk through the room when the TV's on, I mostly watch the Military channel.

Sleeping would be a good option other than watching them goobers destroy a perfectly good firearm, heck I think I'd rather watch 27 Dresses or The Ugly Truth again :big shock: :chuckles: At least the blond is kinda hot :chuckles:

I was flipping channels and stopped when I saw the PKM out of curiosity. The PKM was de-mil'd before import by cutting the reciever in 4 pieces with a torch and all the parts were in a cardboard box. The reciever couldn't be repaired so the ordered a new semi reciever and converted it to FA by milling it. Doesn't make the final product any better, but it was virtually scrap in a box when they started...
