Believe it or not I have seen two M91's modified to take German H style bayonets. Both of them belong to same collector.

That's pretty slick. I've had a couple of mosins where the POI changed a lot depending on whether the bayonet was attached. I wonder what this mod with a fixed bayonet did to barrel hamonics.
That website is great. After a quick search it seems they have at least three 1907 carbines there as well.
They are listed as 1910 models I believe.

Never seen it on a M91 but is you see a some what similar mod on a 91/30 you may be looking at a trials rifle. Take it home with you at any cost period!!!!! Bill

There are many interesting things on that site. I had lost it over the years as the URL seems to have changed somewhat. The only draw back to that site is things we know as one name are not always the same on there as pointed out by the referance to the 06 carbine as a 1910 rifle. Otherwise they have a bunch of cool items up there! They just kind of morphed the names around a bit! Bill
