Buds gun shop M38

Post by dubois9837 »

Has anyone seen any of the M38 rifles coming out of Buds gun shop? I ordered one today and am just wondering what I can expect? They list as excellent and price was $254.00 with free shipping. This will be my first M38. Can't wait to get it. :)

i have bought several Mosin's from Bud's and i'm sure you will be happy with what you get ! I expect it will most likely be a Molot, which my M44 is, and is ok with me.

Keep us posted !!!!!

I got one from Bud's a few weeks ago and it was in great shape. The magazine was crossed out and restamped but the bore is excellent. Kicks like a mule and loud as hell. I love it!

An indepent company within Russia that is not only making "new' firearms but is "refurbing" older ones. Their refinish jobs are usually different than the arsenal "refurbs" most of us are used to. Some feel they are similar to "Mitchell's" (I don't think they are that bad). They do have access to rifles within Russia whereas most of the stuff we have seen over the years has come from the Ukraine.

BTW anyone correct me if I have misstated anything
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Nice rifle's, check out the Molot sub forum.

When you get your M38, look for this, mine, on my M44, was under the hand gaurd . It's only a question that serious collectors have been kicking around about how authentic they are since the refurb. was not done by a goverment arsenal. If you dislike it i'l be nice to a fellow member and give you $50 for it if you pay the shipping !!!!! :chuckles: :chuckles:

Just by looking at that mark you can tell right away it's not a government job. No commie arsenal ever had the money to afford that kind of laser engraving device even in their wildest fantasizing.
