I fear you are seeing the new normal. I have it from a good source that the sellers in Europe are aware of the BS going on here and are taking full advantage of it.

Even the round receiver rifles are going up. So glad I got most of what I wanted in the past couple of years.

The pawn shops around me havent hit this price...yet. But it's not very encouraging. I've had a good relationship with J&G...but I'm going to pass

Still not a bad price for a refurbished , shooting, .30 bolt rifle. Bad for guys lie me who still remember buying them at $55, but for someone who wasn't buying at that time the new sticker price shouldn't be so much of a shock.

I'm not too surprised at this price. Local private sales have hit the $200 mark for over a month. Not many are selling and I'm not sure if the ones that are have been getting the asking price.

Even the round receivers the other day were listed For 149.95 at J&G. Those prices won't be making the cover of Shotgun News. Or will they?

If nobody buys them they will.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I was at a local pawn shop a few weeks ago and they had a hex for $279.00 (firm). Don't recall any of the other details on the rifle except the price. It wasn't anything special. I pretty much lost interest when I saw the price.

My first hex was from J&G about five years ago......$89.00 ($79.00 for round), If I remember right there was a discount off that for buying 2.

Private sales are going for about that same price if not more here in Ohio. Luckily you get the occasional person that is will to part ways with a rifle for less.

Trinity Arms, Chris had some rifles to sell off that were leftovers and offered them at $55 plus shipping to board members, that was six years back I think, I bought five, or six. Not regretting that move now.
