Bought it from centerfire systems for 899. Yes it was overpriced, no I didn't want to buy during this time of panic, no it wasn't a panic buy, I just wanted one and put my tax return to good use :D

Think of it as a modern day Mosin, of course its chambered in 7.62x54r

I'm going to remove the wood and put it way for protecting, its very nice and go with some after market hardware so I can treat it like the AK it wants to be!

I really would hate to be anywhere near the muzzle of that semi-auto canon when it ignites. It looks shorter than a M44. :big shock:

I had one of those exactly like yours, but with the 20" barrel. Pretty neat, but I hated the mags and the integrated sights. Are you going to scope it? They are very nice full power AKs. Congrats on your purchase.

Pretty soon you folks in CT are going to be relegated to muzzle loading firearms only. When I heard the guy on the TV (think it was the CT governor) say that CT gun legislation should be the model for the rest of the states, I couldn't help but laugh. If he tried to make a speech to the MS legislature to that effect, he would be laughed off the stage and sent North.

Thanks guys, this is truly a one stop board for me, mosins, semi autos...etc...just can't get enough of this board!!

Mosin430....I'd move just to get a VEPR!!! But seriously, leave that state if they keep on infringing on your constitutional rights.

Sirex, yep going to scope it.

From Centerfire's website: "This is an original Vepr hunting rifle." From Molot!

I almost wish I hadn't looked... That is one beautiful AK.

So? This isn't a remanufactured mosin. Molot builds the vepr series of rifles. It's not a war time collectable or anything special other than its an AK based rifle that's chambered in x54r. To discount the level of quality that the vepr is due to the fact that it has been made by molot is silly. These veprs are known to be on par if not equal to an arsenal AK.
