Help with first c&r handgun purchase
Help with first c&r handgun purchase
Finally received my c&r today(mailed it Jan 4). I already have a 91/30 and a M44, so time to get an affordable pistol. I currently do not own one. I'm leaning toward a Romanian TTC from classic for 229. A friend has an east german 1961 Makarov with 2'nd mag for 300. If you think the Mac is a real steal at 300 then I'll go that route. If not a steal, then prefer the 7.62 x25 Tokarev. I cannot check stock at SOG or Century because account not set up yet. Any good deals or pistols I should consider there or any where else? Oh, I don't want to spend much over 300 unless it is a steal.

I can't comment on the value of the Mak, but I can tell you, if you get the Tokarev, you will not be sorry. I have both, I rarely shoot the Mak, but I shoot the Tokarev often.

I know where you can buy a nagant for 155. Just a thought.
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Re: Help with first c&r handgun purchase
I have thought about a nagant, would be a fantastic addition to the pair of Mosins. But I need a Good inexpensive ammo shooter, and use the rest of budget for a ww2 or Korean war semi auto rifle to use in local matches. After that I will get nagant.

Re: Help with first c&r handgun purchase
SOG has Romanian Toks for $209 says the M57s are sold out.
Re: Help with first c&r handgun purchase
That's 20 bucks cheaper than classic . Guess I need to get them my license so I can buy one.

Re: Help with first c&r handgun purchase
Classic will accept a scanned copy of your license, make sure it's signed. Run off a bunch of copies of your license, don't do like some have and sign the original!
Re: Help with first c&r handgun purchase
I've read the horror stories about people signing the original. I already made copies and filed the original.
