Maybe a stupid question (no such thing?), but after shooting corrosive ammo, what if you sent a few boxer primed rounds down the chamber? Do you think it would clear out the salt? Or maybe just help to lessen damage?

I am no expert. But I would think the salt, or most of it would still stick. Warm water down the barrel and receiver will result in the best results from what I have been told and experienced.

It will not help anything. One quart of boiling water poured down the chamber will wash out all the salts, then you clean it as you would any rifle. Oil it up in the bore once you are done with real oil, even automotive oil if that's all you have.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Rounds like that sent after shooting cast can help remove some lead from the barrell, but I doubt it does anything for salt. I know that I would not be risking any of my rifles on that...

I would not want to find out the hard way. Even if it lessened it I don't think it would eliminate it.
