magazine door question

Post by bean »

i have noticed that my magazine door rattles allot after i got all the cosmoline cleaned out of it. is this normal? everything seems to work perfect, it just rattles a good bit. i would say the grease just kept all of the loose areas tight then after i removed it, it just made it rattle some. im ok with the rattle, i just dont want it to fall off the gun or something while im shooting it. things like this just bug me, im too big of a perfectionist :)

While I am not sure of the normality of the floor plate being loose, I can say that a couple of mine have a wiggle similar to what you describe. Absolutely no issues with shooting AFAIK.

Normal, it will not rattle with rounds in the magazine. It can be adjusted by bending the catch spring a bit but I suggest living it alone.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
