Because the copys you mail out must be hand signed in ink, not a copy of a signature as it would be if you sign the original and then run off copys. Some places will accept a fax of the FFL, many will not.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Yeah! Thanks for the reminder! It would be just like me to get in a hurry and forget that. Im fighting the urge to cross MY boss and order an M44! She knows I have the license! She is the one who picked up the mail! She told me last night, "No more guns this year!" I'm thinking allrrriigghhtt! one more week! No problem baby! (I'll order it now and it won't get here until after the first! Ha! Ha!)

Buy a blue pen too. Many places want it signed in blue. They say if it's in black they can't tell if it is a copy.

Well if the gun arrives after the first of the year then you haven't violated the "No more guns this year!" edict. I was waiting until after christmas to grab a hex, and they sold out after the craziness this week. Don't live with regret, buy while there are some available

I've had a few request red ink, so I just do all of mine in red now.

I've even take a copy or two on vacation, you never know what you will see or find far from home. Thats how I ended up with two of my Yugo Mauser's. There is a copy in my glovebox also

Any vacation that involves a gun purchase is a good one. I never thought of that, but it's on my planning list for our next family vacation.

I always have them close at hand......................Don't forget many dealers take emailed copies, saves time and gets you on file with them. J&G still insists that you mail it in.

Gentlemen,

Recieved C&R in the mail today, was mailed in on the 12th. 24 days and considering they were out for the holidays, not too bad! Watch now how a hobby becomes an addicition! LOL!
