Deal or not?
Re: Deal or not?
Mitch, no joke at that price think of them as investments. Thats lower than wholesale right now. He wont be able to replace them for that. I bet its some old stock he had in the back he just brought out. Grab them all.

Re: Deal or not?
Who has these? I "may" be interested in a couple more to just put away.
Dont make me have to start calling to find them.

You haven't grabbed them yet?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Well a "deal" is relative. I should be picking up a refurb - NOT grease-wrapped! - for $400 (relatively) soon. So a deal all depends on your perspective...if we could get Mosins for $100 down here...well there would be even fewer of them around

Well, at least they haven't cut off your access to them entirely, not yet anyway. Deals like the one mentioned here are pretty rare here in the states anymore , the current prices are between $150-$200. sometimes more for a basic wartime 91/30 refurb.

True. That's why I'm getting em while I can And before the much-reviled new PTA system comes in (if it does) where apparently we will have to prove 'need' of any further guns of the same calibre. Samurai encountered the same thing down in Victoria recently...different State laws.
Hey maybe they'll forget about it up here in the end - but hell, I'm getting in just in case Lol

The supply is not forever anyway, so get them while you can

Re: Deal or not?
Years back we could get M1 Garands for a couple of hundred bucks, at the time I told anyone who would listen to get them while they could, and get as many as they could. Some didn't listen and now they are crying " I want a Garand but they are $800" Tough shit

Re: Deal or not?
Yes its funny but not surprising that Enfields have gone the same way; apparently used to be around the $80-100 mark...and then the Govt banned semi autos. Now averaging $600+

Enfield run about $300-$350 here for a basic No1 MKIII, or No4 rifle, that's up from $45 20 years ago
