Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I like tossing out a tarp or blanket to shoot over like randver did when shooting away from the range. It makes it nice for finding your shell cases and quick clean up. These are cool pics and videos.

Love going to a range and watching the people in the next booth stop and see what I am shooting.

I'd like to see it from one of those Obrez pistols.

I bet the fireball, noise, concussion, recoil --- everything from one that short would be devastatingly awesome!

I took my video camera to the range this weekend for this very purpose. Got some great fireballs!

A Mosin Carbine 21 gun salute would be visible from space...

The recoil would retard the Earth's rotation and knock all our clocks off. :chuckles:
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Sure could ruin your night vision tho. But so cool to see the reaction of the people shooting next to you at the range.

Great pictures guys! Any chance of getting fireballs like that from a 91/30?

I've never seen a fireball from my M39 that compares to my M44. The longer barrel provides the means for more of the gunpowder to burn off. Not saying you can't/won't get a fireball, but I think you'd be lucky to get one large fireball out of 91/30 compared to almost every shot out of a M44 is a glimpse of hell.
