That looks nice. Anyone know why the metal is a different color on the piece you pull back to take the bolt out? I don't know the technical name for the part sorry. Mine is the same color as this one.

That is the bolt stop ejector and cover assembly. When these rifles were refurbished the entire weapon was stripped down to it's component parts, the parts were mass refurbished with other like parts from thousands of rifles. Not every batch of blued parts will look the same, metals can color differently during the bluing process, and some batches will be lighter or darker than others. At the end of the line barreled receivers were reassembled back into rifles again using parts pulled at random off the pile without regard to color matching or matching it to whatever arsenal made the receiver.

I thought it was something to do with metal content. I didn't know if they used something different on that piece for some reason. Kind of like the "plum" Finnish barrels.

The plum color can be caused by the metal content, or the condition of the bluing solution (too weak, too old, etc.).

The communists loved to spare a buck were they could, they would use that blue solution until it was both weak and old, you can bet on it.
