Old enough to lose shit in my own home, and young enough to know I have done it, worse is when I lose shit , forget I ever owned it, and buy it again only to find the original when I go to hide the new one, and then a month later lose them both, forget I had them, go buy a new one...........This is how I ended up with three original Leatherman multi tools, and now the only one I can find is the one attached to my belt, so long as I don't set it down someplace and forget it.

The way that I misplace them? I'll stick with the $5 auto parts store lights.

The one light I have never managed to misplace is the one bolted to the ceiling.

Maglite makes the best flashlights, in my thinking. I've already 8 maglite flashlights in my home.

Welcome to the board, I have been using maglights for many years, they take a beating ( and can give one :) ) from the big 8 D cell models to the smallest single AAA keychain one, I have had them all.

This one I picked up locally at Ollies on sale for $.99. Actually, I got two at that price. It also has a "cat/mice" laser and magnetic base. By the way I got 100 batteries for them for $2.00 from China.(included shipping)

Go to the fishing aisle at your local sporting goods store and get yourself one of those replacement lites for bobbers. They come in a 2 pack for under 5 bucks. Close the bolt and drop it in. So small they even work on .22s.

One of my favorite ways to inspect a bore. Some of those lights get too bright.

I use one of these, I was given it several years ago. Haven't had to replace the batteries yet.

Here's what I use. It's a single LED I picked up at the corner gas station for $2.29.
