Fantastic looking collection!
Re: My little Russian arsenal
Thanks for looking!
Today I added a non refurb "K" letter series Tula in an original red laminate stock. Gotta wipe the cosmoline off it, then I'll post pics. I think it is going to be the nicest SKS I have.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Re: My little Russian arsenal
So uh, nobody knows why some had black painted bolts and receivers, and others had blued receivers with non painted bolts? Really?
Re: My little Russian arsenal
black paint was applied to some rifles during the refurb process. Originally all Russian SKSs were blued.

Here is the latest
These are after wiping down the stock with a rag so I can handle it, the innards are still full od cosmo. It will look better once its been able to sweat in the sun for a couple hours!

Re: My little Russian arsenal
Welcome to the forums! That is a great collection you've got there, I wish I could get an SKS. Apparently they were sold a dime a dozen down here back before the firearms act, now I'd be lucky too even glimpse one in person :(
