Hey I found my post from page one and first on the list- a Dragoon. I have one in the process of being delivered finally. A Finn marked 1916 Izhevsk Dragoon.

The Colt and Remington BP replicas would not be a hard slot to fill.

In no particular order:

vZ52- the gray one, pistol not the rifle of the same name. (so confusing those Czechs)
Dragoon dated 1917
Some sort of 5.56mm assault rifle. Either a modern, currently available new one or a HK93
Various Mosins that are unique in some way, stock, nationality, etc.
Kriegsmarine issued Luger

CZ52 would be the pistol and VZ52 she, would be the rifle. Sometimes called the she rifle. You can get one for the woman of the house.

Czechpoint has taken to calling the CZ52 pistol a vz52 pistol. I hate name changes. I have a Cz82 which is my favored shooter; I hope they don't change the name of that too. :shifty:

She rifle: odd you should say that. My wife will have a Mosin under the tree for Christmas. She fired my M44 and tried to abscond with. Negotiations led to her telling me to get her a different Mosin, it so I bought her a 91/30 (43 Izhevsk with a real pretty dark stock). Its cleaned and in a hiding place under the stairs along with the stuff from Tiffany. She is pretty easy to buy for...

Name changes happen, not always for the worse
1974-it's some old Russian, commie piece of shit, blow up when you shoot it, dropped once crap.

2012- That's a Mosin Nagant Model 1891/30 produced at Izhevsk arsenal in the USSR in 1943 with DDR triangle one stamp, and welded over PU sniper scope mount holes refurbished in Ukraine.

 I'd love to know what the next p.o.s rifle is going to be. I got into Mosins in time to collect them cheaply, but not in time for most everything else.

There isn't going to be one, the Mosin is the last great haul of bolt rifle milsurps. The post WW2 period saw everyone turning to full auto stuff that we will not see.

I was afraid that would be the case. Thanks for the opinion!

I was thinking that exact thing... I'll always have hope that forgotten or lost items turn up. Like the Spitfires in Australia, or that someone makes something like a Cz82 C&R eligible because of the rifling (or lack thereof as it were). But I've never had that sort of timing; perhaps I need to network more.

Even if they did the CZ82's would not last long and would not be any cheaper

Right, I only mentioned it because it was put on the C&R list because of its "unique" bore. I meant it as an example of other firearms that make the list that are not previously on it and a new C&R eligibility might help create an import market that otherwise does not currently exist.
