Cleaning tumbling media
Cleaning tumbling media
I use primarily ground corn cob to clean my brass in a Dillon bowl style tumbler. A buddy suggested throwing a used dryer sheet in with mix every once in a while. It traps the dirt and since it's already been used as intended, costs.............nothing! when you dump the brass in you seperator just fish it out and pitch it.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Corn cob makes for a good shine. i use walnut for dirty brass. Pet stores have lizzard bedding that is crushed walnut look for fine grind. Mix a little car polish and run for a hour or so. Use a small amount of wax say a cap full. Less is better cgillette

I use the dryer sheets. They must work because they come out filthy.
