M91 Finn that got me started

Post by BuckeyeSgt »

This wasn't the first one I bought but it's the first one that got me to start looking at Mosins. This rifle sat in an office of a friend's for two years. He had no clue what it was. So I started researching the marks. I bought my first one, a 91/30 refurb at Cabelas for $90. Then I asked him if he would sell his. Let's just say it cost me less than what I paid for the 91/30.

Yea, the Finned 1891 are amazing. They just seem to be covered in history, were around before the Russian revolution and no red shellac.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

Either not married, or you bought a can of Scotch* Cosmoline Guard to spray on the couch fabric.

Oh, there is a third option - you took pics while the woman was away, and blamed the stains on the dog.

Nice gun, BTW. 8-)

Yes she was gone, and because of the dog and kids it does have some kind of protector. I haven't found the cosmoline guard though. They sell that at Wally World? It might be a good investment. :D I'm still looking for some chem light batteries and a box of grid squares if any one has any. :D
