I believe they are Finnish.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

А это австро-венгерские (взято на этом форуме) ....похожи - но без "глазков" и более аккуратное исполнение.

Not all Finnish ones have the single hole. Some used the slotted escutcheon like the ones pictured.

Perhaps, but the Finnish ones have a complex shape that follows the relief of the rifle stock. Can you give a photo of Finnish ones like mine?

Where did yours come from? They looks like relics, and where they were found might give a clue.

They were raised in the south of Ukraine. There could have been fighting here during the Civil War (1918-1921) - Russians, Germans, Austro-Hungarians, Greeks, Romanians, French, Poles and WW 2 (1941-1944) Russians, Germans, Romanians. The Finns did not find any artifacts here.

Yeah, I'd say that rules out Finnish. I don't know which of the others it might be.
