If you ever wondered why people put up with Florida heat

Post by SA1911a1 »

This morning, up against the Georgia border, it is short sleeve weather, the grass is still green (but not growing; the best of both worlds) The sun is shining and it is just a glorious day. The roses and camilias do not know it is Christmas.

Tell me, I had to turn the AC back on, it's getting hot in Florida again. The Lilly Pads in the pond are growing new leaves already, the birds are chirping, the bees are out and about. It's 74 degrees outside right now, what happened to Winter?

I like heat. I've only been to FL in September on vacation. I don't know if I'd tire of sunshine and blue skies. I'd rather be on the ocean. It might not be as appealing to me if I were living inland...IDK. For what it's worth, I lived the first two years of my life on the beach. From what my mother told me, I always ran toward the ocean whenever she let me down.

It hit 51 here today so it doesn't much feel like late December.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
