WRN 1 1925
I just inherited a Mosin with the markings WRN 1 1925. My great uncle said he bought it on a train leaving Nuremberg in 1945. Curious about the history and approximate value. Thanks.

Long read but it'll answer most if not all your questions. But a quote from it "There are only a handful at best known from the W.R.No.1. arsenal (Central Depot Weapons # 1 Warsaw)."
It's a Polish wz.91/98/25 Mosin Nagant and most likely converted to 8mm Mauser.
