Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
I have been collecting Mosins for the last 15 years. I just recently acquired a Mosin 91/59. I am looking forward to finding out more about these rifles on this forum and getting to know all of you.

Hello,
My name is Amie hope everyone is well. This seems like a cool place to be. I'm an antique collector and have found a Mosin Nagant Bayonet. If anyone would mind telling me where the appropriate place to post a few pics so that I may possibly ask questions with help identifying exactly which kind and the year made I would really appreciate it.
Regards

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

New member, first post to the forum. Been collecting steady the last three years, main focus is on Yugoslavian Mausers followed by anything that is not Finnish in the Mosin line. Latest adds have been a 1927 Tula M91/30 (5 Line), 1932 Izhevsk M91/30, and 1943 Tula M91/30. All arsenal refurbished of course.
I keep all my C&Rs original and they all are maintained in a safe shooting condition so no safe queens (though I have not shot everyone yet lol). I've used this site as a reference many times, figured it was time to join.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.
There are other forums but none of them are as friendly as they are here.
And, you questions get answered by "real long timers".
If you have anything, post photos. We love photos!

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Hello glad to be here, I have a 1953 romanian M44 that I hope to get some questions answered about eventually.
Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
this is the place to get the answers! I've got 45 or so ranging from 1914 to 2021 (yes, not a typo) and I learn something each and every time I get online. Welcome and enjoy.

Hi, I'm Zach. I've bought my first mosin 15 year ago for cheap. Now I still buy them occasionally and think they are great rifles even at current prices.

Hello, I am new to this site. I have posted a M-38 for your consideration. I have been collecting for over 25years Mosty on GB but that site is getting strange. So I thought I would try here. For the monitors of the board. Can I add to my post?? I want to add more pics of my 1939 dated M-38. If that is OK. Thank you , Hope this site is nice with good persons!! Chris

Hello. I am a newby obviously. Have had a M44 in my gun cabinet since 1971. I am interested in learning about it and making it complete by purchasing a front sight which is missing. Thanks, "Rip Vanwinkle". lol

Howdy.
Got my first Mosin Nagant yesterday.
It is a M44 made in 1944.
Looks like a great wealth of information here.

Hey Steelbuttplate. Thanks for the suggestion. They have many things, but no narrow front sights. Gun Broker appears to but I have had a tough time getting the site to cooperate with me. Lol
I know very little about my m44. It is in great shape compared to most of the ones I saw on line. I have paid absolutely no attention to it since I brought it home and handed off to my Dad. It came out of a hole in the ground in 1970 in a village near Song Bay (spelling) packed in cosmo lien. I was very surprised to find they have a monetary value at all.
Thanks, Jay

Picture from Liberty tree Mosin parts page. listed as M44., $24 . I don't think there is a difference for Chinese (T 53) , I think these fit M 38 also. There is a difference in the 91/30 sight I think. I've never heard of a narrow front sight for Mosin.Jay T wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 8:48 am Hey Steelbuttplate. Thanks for the suggestion.
