POST YOUR M91-38's here!!

M91/38 Mosin Nagant
The bore is bright and shiny with good rifling, on a 1905 dated Izhevsk receiver and barrel.
Serial numbers match on receiver and mag floor plate; bolt is electro-pencil matching.
The stock is Czech M44 stock

This was my collection of 91/38's before I sold them all off.

Based on my experience, you are likely to find 91-38's with shank dates from 1891 through 1920. I have never personally fondled one earlier than 1894 though. I had them with steel stock bolts, wooden stock bolts and no stock bolts. The were made in cut down M-91 stocks, M-38 stocks and M-44 stocks. I even had one with a repaired Austrian stock. Two 91-38's were known to exist with the original bayonets intact. I had one of these. Some are scrubbed or have dual dates. One that I was never able to acquire was a Remington but I've seen one. He didn't want to sell it :D

I still have one 91/38 & it's a real gem out at the range. Not wanting to part with it.

This is a family photo of my rarest carbines, most of which are 91/38s but a few aren’t so please forgive their inclusion. For my 91/38s I did my best to try and collect a variety of stocks and arsenals. I definitely don’t have the kind of money to have as many as I want and it has been years since I bought my last one.

1898 Tula with wooden cross bolt
1895 Tula with Czech stock
1894 Sestroyetsk
1899 Izhevsk with no cross bolt

1894 Chatellerault
1941 PL marked m38 (scrubbed marking but never seen another one)
1939 original matching m38 first pattern stock
1931 (kinda) New England Westinghouse Russian refurbished m38
