Russian SKS 1952 Tula

Post by Tula44 »

Several years ago I had a Yugo SKS, it was a great shooter but I ended up parting ways with it for another rifle. Never thought I would get a SKS again and I wouldn't be willing to pay what they're going for now. I found this Russian dated 1952 Tula and the seller and I ended up doing a trade. I like collecting Soviet rifles so this is a good addition to the collection.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Very nice Russian. I have a 52 Tula also but it's in a laminate stock and it's a tack driver. I also have three Yugo's of different flavors. Only shot the 59/66a1 but it's also a tack driver. Great rifles.

I am down to one SKS and it too is a '52 Tula. 1952, by the way, was a very good year!

I'd recommend the later year ones as I have a 1951 manufacture and the safety on it isn't clicky. Other than that they're basically the same accuracy wise.
