WZ-48 Bolt question

I just got a Polish .22 cal. WZ-48 dated 1949. It looks as if to be unissued. It came in the "original" Gibbs Rifle Company box. Question I have is:

Is the bolt supposed to slide out the back without having to press the trigger ? You have to press the trigger to put it back in, but to take it out, nothing, just unlatch and out it comes. Locks up to fire a round just fine.
