I received a voicemail the ATF a few months back, when the BLM protest turned to rioting.

Someone on another gun forum, said they received a call from the BATFE, reminding them to make sure their weapons are secured, the records are secured etc. The BATFE reasoning for the call was due to the recent rioting and looting in this individuals local, they could very well be targeted.

Every time I see someone busted on whatever charges and they have their guns spread across the front yard and screaming about having a thousand rounds of ammo, I cringe a bit. I am a law-abiding citizen and have managed to avoid any trouble in nearly 70 years. I don't have a large collection by any means when compared to other collectors, but if I were accused of Jay-walking and they came for me, and tossed the house, I would be portrayed, in the news, as another Al Capone.

Like Jim, I was glad to drop my C&R and get rid of my books. Just one less bit of self-exposure to someone trying to make a career.
