To me it looks like 2 N is small K 37. Imperial eagle and possibly a stamp lower down like a German proof

Re: What's you're rarest or oddest mosin?
My rarest is at the bottom. It's a M38 1939 Finn Captured.
As you can see, some other "odd" ones are stripped.
Part of my Finn Collection (not Russians)
![Image](http://thedolk.com/images/all_Finns_800.jpg)
Oldest is a Châtellerault 1894

My oddest is always my M39

Other than the rarity that is one of the finest groupings of beautiful stocks I have ever seen in one place. Congrats on your good taste.

That chatelleruralt looks extremely familiar. Lol I almost won a rifle exactly like that but dull in comparison to stock now. On a raffledolk wrote:My rarest is at the bottom. It's a M38 1939 Finn Captured.

My father has a few hard to pick
My person rarest in a 1892 St. Petersburg cavalry carbine
On the rack I believe
Original matching 1893 dragoon
As manufactured Siamese trial 1899 dragoon
1897 as manufactured Sest rifle
1894 Chatellerault all matching besides the magwell gate

Impressive, Mitch. I'd be happy to look at those, let alone own them. Best I can do is my SIG unstepped M24.
Re: What's you're rarest or oddest mosin?
That isn't shabby. My M24 is a Bohler Stahl.CavemanSteve wrote:...Best I can do is my SIG unstepped M24.

Rarest Mosin would be a toss up between my Civilian Sales M28 and my 1935 VKT M27. Most unusual Mosinl(and pretty rare too) would be my 1917 Peter the Great M91 that was captured by the Japanese and converted into a training rifle.

Nice. I wonder if that Jap trainer came from this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_ ... in_Siberiassg_lord wrote:Rarest Mosin would be a toss up between my Civilian Sales M28 and my 1935 VKT M27. That's my belief, the Japanese kanji is one used by the Meji University in Tokyo. I've seen pictures of 5 other Meji University marked Mosin trainers, 3 are Remington's and the oher is also a 1917 PTG. All have identical markings and were likely marked at the same time.. The only time Japan had access to both Russian and U.S. made Mosin's was during the Vladivostok expedition from 1919-1922, Japan was the last nation to leave in 1922 and ended up with lots of Mosin's that were either captured from the Reds or those meant for the White's that were left behind.millman wrote:Nice. Re: What's you're rarest or oddest mosin?
I don't know which is more rare: a 1943 Izhevsk ex-PU or a 1929 Tula ex-Dragoon.
I guess I like ex-things.
Actually I like what I can afford.

Yeah, it's a weird one. I think someone said they had seen others like it, but they're at least uncommon.Tanners_m91 wrote:Well tgats definitely a new one to me. 3 sets of stamps. Man that guy must have drunk to much

MO marked, double dated Tula PU sniper. I paid up for it, but have not heard of another. Also, I recently acquired a 42 Tula PU sniper. It's a Molot gun, never thought I'd own a 42 Tula PU.
