2018 buck season

Post by Jbob »

Not the Mr. BIG I'd been seeing pre season but he'll do for this year.
Took this the first morning at 10am as I was about to call it quits for the day. Since hanging around with you guys I'd rather test rifles and ammo at the range punching paper. I just can not sit still for long anymore, I'm like I have ants in my pants...
Rifle used this time was a older model Winchester Feather Weight in 30.06 with a Vortex Crossfire II scope. Range is about 200 yards. You can see my little hunting shack in the background. I hope everyone had a safe hunting season this year. First deer I'd taken with a modern rifle in a long while, I usually use a different type of older military weapon each year.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Nice deer and hunting spot. Am I the only one who thinks that would be a great valley for a private shooting range????

WE are eating it in the work truck, mid morning and lunch, 4 days a week. I started back working out , lost 8 lbs. and feel good. Smoked Ven Goode. And gorp and dried fruit and greens and the other major food groups.
