224 Valkyrie Round

Post by Rowdy1 »

Saw this today. A new round for your AR-15.The 224 Valkyrie Round. Fits your standard AR Mag and stays supersonic out to 1300 yards. Extends your distance significantly.

Meh, another 22 caliber round...

For ranges past 300 yards I'm looking at 308. Once I get past 600 yards or so then I'm looking at 338 Lapua or 300 Win Mag real close.

My .204ruger does pretty good when the wind isn’t blowing.

As I understand this one is a 6.8 SPC case necked down to .224. My LGS has sold a couple.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

If I am over 600 yards, I am getting in the truck and driving closer.

I got to shoot at 1200 yards one time. .300 Win Mag you could hear hit. .308 not so much.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

When my primary duty weapon changed from the M16A2 to the M9 I use to joke around that if the enemy was close enough for me to reach out and touch them with the M9 then I was running in the wrong direction.
