SKS Bayonet

Post by Rowdy1 »

Sorry for the stupid question. This is my first SKS. How do you get the Bayonet to open? Can't figure it out.

At first I was like that is really rude reply to a guy asking for help. Then I read the screen name, and saw it was the a comment from the OP. Duh, LOL...... :?

My SKS is a Yugo model manufactured in 1976. All parts matching. Needs a good cleaning but I can hear the firing pin move back and forth so hopefully there isn't much junk to clean out. Won't be able to get the work done for about a month. My wife had an infected hip replacement removed and is currently living with a temporary one. She needs IV antibiotics 5X a day and I'm the IV therapist so I need to stay clean. Secondly it is still to hot in AZ to work on anything in the garage.
