My oldest firearms right now is a tie. I have a Finn 1915 New England Westinghouse M91 Mosin Nagant, and a 1915 Lithgow No 1 Mk 3 Enfield.

1918 M1912 Norwegian Krag. Passed down from my Great-Grandpa to my Grandmother to my Uncle and now to me. It's the oldest until the 1891 G88 comes out of layaway.

Does look like some sort of booby trap!!

Also, it is really a 9 shot. I found another touch hole going to center. That is why if you look at the "supports" coming off the back of each cylinder (where the touch hole are at), one don't have a support. That is so you can touch off the center cylinder. The center barrel is covered over with rust and you can see it from the front!! Weird.

When you hold one in your hand (very heavy, and feels like lead) you can "thump it" with your finger and tell that the cast iron is flaky and you get that funny "dead thump" sound. It says to me that the cast iron is not very sound anymore. I wouldn't think about even trying to fire it off. Even with a very reduced load. It would probably "crack" or worse. Pretty damn old for sure. Like I said above, there are actually 9 holes. The one in the center is covered over with flaky rust.

My oldest is a Mosin.

1896 M91. Austrian capture, sold to Finland. Finnish stock.

Purchased sling and lock ring bayonet separately. Also have correct scabbard for the bayonet.
