Russian Winchester 1895 - graphical warning
Russian Winchester 1895 - graphical warning
Hi all
you could see below a few pics of the various russian winchester 1895 i've found since december last year.
some are in original condition, some have been reblued at a moment.
on one the stock was bad but fortunately i've found an original stock in better condition, and another one has not the good screw on the band, i'm looking to get the correct one.
you will not see on this pic a sporterized one i'm currently trying to restore at original condition...
i've tested some at range, the target you can see was at 100m with commercial PPU FMJ.
i've also found a bayonet to complete all of that...

Now that's just not fair! You're hogging all of the fun guns! Seriously though, that is an absolutely fantastic collection of 1895s!

I just noticed the lever handle two piece design and pin. Is that something functional besides being a handle? Is there another lever action w/ a charging slot?

i'm not an expert on the history of the winchester. we should find one to reply to you.steelbuttplate wrote: I just noticed the lever handle two piece design and pin. Is that something functional besides being a handle? Is there another lever action w/ a charging slot?

I haven't seen one go for under $2000 in a while. One just sold a week or two in auction for over $3000.Joekopec1 wrote:Anyone know the going price in these? I'm assuming pretty expensive... couldn't find any

Damn Jack you may give JYD a run for his money as far as collections go.
Question what is the proper sling for the Winchester 1895 Russian Contract? I had read M1907 but that seems too simple.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

If you look at the one we have at the shop the sling attachment is still there. We all thought someone hung a GEW88 sling attachment to it.
