My White Elephant

Post by capt14k »

Seems like Thomas AKA 7x57 and I have luck shine on us almost simultaneously. Happened with our M/42 Bayonets. He got his second, a Fiskars, right about the time I got my first a Hackman. Now he got his matching 1935 Brazilian Short Rifle he posted here recently while I got mine less than 2 weeks later.

I feel I got it at a fair price especially since it was on that magical grey blanket. Here is a link to the auction for now. I will post better pics once it is in hand. It will go nicely with my 1935 Brazilian Long. Just need to get the Bayonets for both of us which hopefully will happen shortly.

Nice find :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Thank you. Were you one of the guys bidding? I'll be honest I was very surprised by the price.

No, I didn't bid on it. One of those that I watch to see what they go for. I knew it would go higher than I could handle...
