Here's some pictures of my current "Enfield" battery. The No 4 rifles are like new condition one of them I bought about 20 years ago in the cosmoline and wrap the only place the packaging was open was to see the serial number. The second one I bought at a shop from an estate sale the previous owner was suppose to have bought it like I did mine and cleaned it up and never shot it. That ws a great find two years ago for $269 as I recall. Anyway I am talking to the boss trying to get the OK from her to go ahead and buy this one if I like it (I will like it).

Enfield envy :Drool1:

I haven't seen any with the lighter colored stocks before. Where were they made?
You see in this world there are two kinds of people my friend, those with loaded guns... and those who dig. You dig.

Ya I am proud of them. The top rifle in the SMLE pictures is one of my latest buys I have only shot it once and I did crappy with it. Kari and I talked about these and the Schmidt Rubins a lot. Fact is I had given him my load data I developed for 1889 Schmid Rubin just before he left us. Kari was a bonified Enfield Nut in my opinion. Wish I had got to know him better. Anyway I have toyed with selling this one as I have the other and one. The only thing these two stocks have gotten is lemon oil on them as I want to keep them as blonde as possible. Both were so dry when I got them they needed something to keep them from shrinking up.
I just got the Boss's approval to do the lay-away if I want this so to the shop I go this afternoon   :toast:
GO let it still be there! If so I'll take the camera and do a few pictures too.

When it rains it pours, I got all excited about the rifle, well before I could get ready to go to the shop I hear the Wife say "Honey what's wrong with your computer". Well as you can see I didn't report success on the rifle because my hard drive crashed. So I had to get a replacement as New Egg gave me the middle finger so I had to go to Best Buy and get a new one then get my son over to fix my lap top.
On an even worse note I looked at the rifle today and it is worth the money! So have to figure out a way to buy this. As t the rifle it appeared to be all matching and the bore is shiny and bright. I have to agree with JYD though I think the stock is a replacement. But for $349 it's well worth the money in this Hillbilly's opinion.

That sounds about like me and hunting trips. I get ready to go and something goes wrong with one of the cars. $800 in tires, $500 for a alternator and there goes the trip. Hope you can get it done Burr, looks like a nice rifle.

Been there and done that with the PC's, expensive pain in the ass, but I have it sorted out now.

What upset me the most was my Eldest son bought me the hard drive for a Xmas present and less than two months it goes wheels up. New Egg tells himTSMF it's over thirty days go to the manufacturer (SAMSUNG). We checked into doing that but they wanted the drive back and would not ship a replacement till they had the drive and tested it themselves at least two maybe four weeks before they would ship a replacement. So I had to eat the price of a hard drive myself or do without my gun porn for quite a while. The gun porn won on this one. So I have to regroup and talk to the Wife and see if there is another way to get the rifle. But if anyone of you guys want to take a crack at it I will not get TOO MAD! As long as I never see you in person ever! Jut kidding, well not all of it anyway.
As to the two blonde Stocked SMLES if I get a chance I'll do a good set of pictures and post them up later in the week. One of them I have had it sense 1991 and the other was a recent purchase in the las couple of years. Heck I might entertain sell it to get the one I am looking at if I knew it would still be there.
