I recently bought a 1931 Springfield M1903A0, I heard they were still making the A0 because of left over parts from WW1 because it has the straight stock even though the M1903A1 (pistol grip stock) started in 1928. It also doesn't have a scored butt plate like earlier ones. However i'm lost on the barrel mark because I don't think it's a 1911 year barrel. Also is it an original sling?
If anyone knows more than me or knows anything please say it

Hard to say if the sling is "original". At a minimum, it appears to be an original US issue M1907 sling and is correct to the rifle.

Parts were always being swapped in or out as needed at every level from the national arsenal down to the field armorers so it's hard to say what was done when. Nice to find one no matter what parts it's wearing
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
