Holy Finns and Swedes

Post by capt14k »

Live Auction today ended up with only one lot, but still happy. All are at a minimum bolt matching. Kicking myself for not going higher on an earlier lot of 3 Finns that were also at a minimum bolt matching. I was holding out for a later lot, but that ended up going too high. Plan was to buy two lots. Average cost after buyer's premium was $340 per rifle. Auction house is a 2hr ride each way so I will pick up in person. I think I did ok. Either way a whole bunch of Swedes and Finns hit the market today.

I went for the Finn marked M96 and some M28s. Bids went higher than I was looking to go.

Rofl I bet I know the auction!! lets just say Zeebill picked up some more rifles

Bill reports alot of these guns were rough, some missing parts, bubba'd, and some had bore plugged full of who knows what. Lets just say it doesn't sound like I'd want to buy anything site unseen there.. Not to mention the buyers fee at that auction is :bonk:

They're still covered in grease, which is good.

Iffy how? I don't know about you but I haven't seen a bolt matching M/28-30 sell for under a nickel in a while now. I would have rather had the other lot but I'm still happy.

That makes sense. I didn't see any pure M/28 lots.

I got info from someone on the ground there and I feel comfortable with the purchase.

He probably ruined mine. The one I was interested in was outbid by an on-site buyer.
