Another Fin to the collection.

Post by Shelbygt500 »

Pretty stoked I picked up my 1928 Tikka M27 today. I can't wait to shoot this thing. Man is this a good looking rifle. The Finnish sure knew how to make a gun. The bore looks amazing and besides the crack in the stock it looks really good. Looks like they miss stamped the serial number at first.. Paid $390 shipped hope that's a decent price.

I picked up "The Book of Rifles" at a secondhand store the other day.
It has info about "modern" rifles from countries all around the world (originally printed in 1948)
Here's the section on Finland. I don't know if this is all correct, but I found it to be interesting.

A lot of misinformation there, especially on the m27. Interesting though.

Wow great looking rifle man, I'd say that's a pretty good price you paid. :Drool1:

That's an interesting book. Pretty cool. Thanks everyone I appreciate it. The trigger on this feels so nice I can't wait to shoot it.

When did Classic get M27's. I understood they just had M39's??? Your M27 is worth every penny of what you paid.

Very Nice. Finn rifles are all I'm collecting at this point. Never ceases to amaze me how much quality & craftsmanship is associated with them.

Thanks guys. I love that picture. They sure used reindeer a lot..lol
Yeah I was taking about my M39s I bought from them long colt.
Rongo I hear ya it's amazing the improvements they made on them. I'm trying to stick with Finns for now but that doesn't happen. I really want a fin capture for my collection.
