New 12G enroute, Tristar G2 Viper

Post by Sirex »

So, I have a few pumps for home defense/ general purpose use, but I am joining a new club next month and want to get into shooting clays more often. I was trying to buy a 22", 7+1 shot Mossberg 930 JM Pro but had problems with the vendor, and the model I wanted was sold out most everywhere else. I found this shotgun, which looks gorgeous, and decided I wanted to try it. Online reviews are good, better than the 930 actually. I had a Tristar pump, and an old Raptor, liking both very much but selling both, but both were very well built. I am hoping this new Tristar G2 Viper will be just as good.
Should be here next week. Anyone have a semi auto Tristar Viper?

Nope, but I bought a Raptor in 20 for the 4-H Trap program. Most the kids bring their own guns, so I've shot the 20 a few times, it's nice.

Update;
Forgot all about this. I LOVE this shotgun. It made me look really good at my first time shooting clays. I was actually doing almost as well as many guys who have shot a while. It swings easy, fairly light, has a decent fiber optic sight, and cycles fast and smooth. It's not a bad looking shotgun for the price. Great machine work, nice wood, and no malfunctions. Shot a little over a 100rd case of Federal Target loads after break in with some high powered shells. A ton of fun. I have a new gun sport to love.

Nice looking shotgun.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I missed this somehow. Nice looking gun. Is tri-star made in Turkey?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
