1935 Tula 91/30 , PL, [SA], 41 marked

Post by Miller Tyme »

Picked this one up recently because I didn't have a PL marked Finn, and this has a lot going for it. It's a Finn captured 35 Tula that is PL marked, [SA] stamped, and 41 stamped. It is your typical Finn mix master with a stacked barleycorn front sight, and the rear barrel band is one of the early 91/30 button bands. The bolt is Finn matched and the stock, while well worn still retains its original finish.

Would the PL make it older than '35 ? Started out as a M 91 ? What's the tang date?

Puolustuslaitos (Defense Department) stamp was used for 2 months in 1942 before the adoption of [SA]
Barrel shank.

Thanks everyone, this fills a big hole in my collection, and a killer deal made it a no brainer.
